I was born in Spiritwood Sask. in 1936. I was the youngest of 12 children. My mother passed away when I was 1 years old and my father moved us to British Columbia. I grew up on Vancouver Island. When I was 18, I started longshoring and worked at that job for 41 years. In 1958 I was married to my wife Pat and we have 3 children and 3 grandchildren. About 20 years ago I became interested in researching my Metis geneology. I was proud to find out, I am descended from the Red River settlement in Manitoba and distantly related to Louis Riel.
